"The very powerful, age worthy 2021 vintage (5*) of this estate-grown, single-vineyard red was hand-harvested at Waimarama and matured for two years in French oak barrels (70 per cent new). Deeply coloured, it is weighty and fleshy, with a strong surge of plummy, spicy flavours, seasoned with nutty oak, a hint of liquorice, and ripe, supple tannins. Built for the long haul, it's well worth cellaring to 2026+."
